Meet the Teenaider

At the age of 34 I discovered the wonderful concept of personal development. Having just become a mum and losing my own mother suddenly to cancer I needed help. Life up to then had been high flying. From University I headed to London to work as Cabin Crew for British Airways and spent 14 years jet setting around the world. It was a lifetime opportunity to travel! Then along came 2 children and as we all know you are lucky to make it to the bathroom for a pee let alone to Hong Kong for the weekend! Grief and juggling motherhood was a struggle. I worried about how I was going to get my s**t together to raise these 2 tiny humans to be happy and confident. The universe was listening and I came across a wonderful lady who in 2 sessions changed my life, so much so I went on to study and train with her.

And so the journey began. I found myself back in London training with Heart Math. I was amazed to find out that these tools were being taught to children and teenagers in school throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.

Light Bulb Moment! I reflected back to my own teenage years and the struggles I had with study and exams. Stress and struggling to fit in had a big impact on my performance and I thought if only I had these tools how much easier life would have been.

Over the past 10 years my life purpose has unfolded and now I love teaching these techniques to younger children, teenagers and now parents too so that they can truly understand and connect with their kids. As many of us moms and dads have figured out parenting does not come with a manual but for me having these tools in my back pocket was the next best thing!

Today, nothing gives me more satisfaction than watching my own 2 not so tiny humans now, standing in their power, flourishing, and being Happy, along with getting a message from a parent telling me how I have helped them, their child or teenager to find success and happiness. I can hand on heart say “I Love My Job.”

My Approach

How many times have you said “If only I had known that when I was growing up”? I know!…I can hear you answer, a million times!

From working with young children and teens I have learned that when they are struggling to cope, more often than not, it is more about feeling lost and not in control of what is happening to them. As one teenager said to me it’s like my life is running ahead and I am trying to catch it!

This is why I created practical techniques that they can take away and use in their everyday life in school and at home. Children and teenagers live in a fast flowing age where they want to do things for themselves so empowering them with tools to live a happy life is the best gift we can give them.
